Dear Walter,

Thank you for being a part of my favourite day. You were the first thing I saw when I opened my eyes this morning. The second thing I saw was my life flashing before my eyes when sunlight burst across the wall in front of me. Sorry I screamed. I don’t blame you for running away.

It’s been a long day.

I got so many gifts!

I got outside for a lovely walk on the beach this morning with a real live FRIEND! GIFT.

I spent time with a bunch of my favourite people and talked to their entire faces! GIFT.

There was cake in cups. GIFT.

There were messages from near and far. GIFT.

There were perks. GIFT.

There were incredibly sentimental & poignant presents given to me. Please don’t knock them over. I’m glad I trimmed your claws. GIFT x2

I laughed so hard today, my face muscles hurt. GIFT.

I hugged Jaedan twice today.

PRESENCE & GIFT.

I spent actual physical time with my mom & dad today. Not everybody can say that. I’m grateful. GIFT.

I chose to allow the day be all about me and it felt really good. I thought about Facebook a few times but didn’t open it until 5:36pm. GIFT.

I don’t need Facebook. GIFT.

Wrapping up, I’m grateful for my life. You encourage me to remember that. GIFT.
