Dear Walter,

Good morning. I woke up to see sunshine streaming in the room. That’s my favourite kind of morning.

We need to talk about you pouncing on Aero during the night. Not a fan. Give the guy a break. If he says he doesn’t want to play, he means it. Someday YOU will be the grumpy old man! Have some respect and learn to take a hint, okay? Good boy.

I spent most of yesterday trying to eat enough food so that I didn’t feel like my stomach was turning inside out. I wasn’t particularly successful.

Paul made a delicious omelet for dinner last night, but the eggs were quite rich and gave me a crampy tummy. I miss the days when good food just tasted good and there were no consequences.

I can’t believe it’s March 20th today. Other than the couple of hours where I checked in on my birthday, I have not opened Facebook this month. I have mixed feelings about that. Facebookland is overwhelming, and I don’t miss that part of it at all. I don’t miss the opinions. I don’t miss the chaos. I don’t miss the snarky comments that people make. I miss the fun stuff like cat memes, baby photo updates, the memories. I am all about the memories.

Onward. As they say: “Don’t look back, you’re not going that way.“
